Archipelago Folkschool is a collaborative social enterprise, whose purpose is to connect people with craft. We believe that craft is a vital part of our culture, that it creates community and strengthens our society. Our main focus is boatbuilding education; our normal activity centres around a yearly programme of workshops and courses where participants work together to build and launch small wooden rowing boats, canoes, and sea kayaks. We also produce boats and other woodwork on commission as well as attend events throughout the country.
