A fascination with paper led Joanna to start making books and paper artwork in 2009. After many papery experiments her current work includes one of a kind, hand crafted books, collage and mixed media pieces and paper Mache sculpture. She has found binding books to be the perfect medium to showcase interesting papers, and often incorporates recycled and reclaimed materials in them. An interest in pre-loved materials can also be seen in her mixed media and paper Mache works which are finished with pages from old books, vintage maps and beachcombed treasure.
