We moved to Mull in 1972. My husband’s family had a building business. I had trained to be a Physiotherapist and in 1976 was offered the Physiotherapy job. In between that, bringing up three children, looking after Duart Castle and baking for the Tearoom, I managed to do some painting. I supported the Art Exhibitions that were held at Glengorm Castle and the Ross of Mull and Iona. In 2009 I shared an exhibition with two others at the Glengorm Art Gallery. I am basically self taught. During the early part of lockdown in 2020, I did an online 12 week course with Leith School of Art called Wake up and Draw. Since then I have been doing a lot of drawing of every day objects especially with coloured pencils.
