Archbold Gallery
John Archbold is a contemporary artist producing landscapes, seascapes, townscapes, figurative work and portraiture.
John Archbold, DA is a contemporary Scottish artist who is a graduate of Fine Art Drawing and Painting at Glasgow School of Art. John retired from teaching in 2010, allowing him to paint full time and develop his work in different directions. John has adopted the bluer light of the Hebrides as his palette. In his work he uses a rich variety of texture and colour to create powerful statements about the land and seascapes of Mull and the West coast. He works with a range of subject matter, including seascapes, landscapes, townscapes, figure studies and portraiture. In the Gallery you can see an ever changing exhibition of his creative output.
