John Archbold is a contemporary artist producing landscapes, seascapes, townscapes, figurative work and portraiture.
John Archbold, DA is a contemporary Scottish artist who is a graduate of Fine Art Drawing and Painting at Glasgow School of Art.
Since retiring his current focus is on the fundamental disciplines of drawing and painting in the open air or at his studio or working from his especially adapted studio vehicle with its large windows. This has brought new vitality to his current work which can be seen at his studio/gallery in Lochdon. He works with a range of subject matter, including seascapes, landscapes, townscapes, figure studies and portraiture and uses a variety of mediums.

When you visit, you can expect
You will see the artist at work, be it sketching or painting a large oil on canvas. "For me, painting is like breathing and eating; it's something I simply have to do - I can't not do it". Visitors to his studio/gallery are always welcome.
