Island Blue Gallery is home to Island Blue Publishing, started on Mull in 1988 by local photographer Martin Guppy. We have been lucky to have been based at Baliscate just outside Tobermory for over twenty years. In the past two years the gallery has had a major facelift.

With the space now showcasing Island Blue Publishing’s work that specialises in the Scottish Islands. Island Blue have been publishing individual Mull and Iona Calendars since the early nineties until 2021 which will see a new departure from this with the launch of the 2022 title, a joint Mull and Iona calendar featuring a specific island themed wall planner. Within the four exhibition rooms we have the Jolomo room, dedicated to the work of the renowned Argyll based artist John Lowrie Morrison, whose work Island Blue has long been associated with in calendar and greeting card form. Our other rooms highlight some of the finest Scottish artists in print form with the majority of work having a Hebridean and Mull focus
